Collaborative Theater Project Olivia Williamson (HL) My personal context My strengths within the devising process When in the creative process, I am able to close my eyes and see this whole new world setup right in front of me. The way the light will hit the actors face and the color of his button down shirt are created by this imagination of mine that lets loose when inspired. Personally, a lot of inspiration is pulled from my experiences in life in regards to what details have made me feel a certain emotion led me to a specific expression. The theater course has allowed me to understand that some of these experiences are universal amongst peoples. When the audience sees dark green lights, they may feel scared. When the audience sees bright blue lights, they may feel at ease. When this new world is created within my head, I then am able to write it in words. Footloose Reflection

Cut Footloose! The Footloose performance took place March 1st, 2nd, and 3rd with a night performance on Friday and Saturday and a matinee on Sunday. Here is my reflection on these days. Friday: In all honesty, I believed Friday to be the best day, of course  I might feel this way due to the grand amount of energy that the audience had this night. Being on stage that night was so ethereal. Not once did I feel like Olivia on that stage. Personally, I think the character of Ariel really took over that day. The best parts of that night for me were when I said “welcome to Bomont” and the performance of Almost Paradise. The crowd went so wild and I was in shock. Friday was spectacular. Saturday: This is the performance that the cast seemed to decide in majority was the best. I believe it was because as a whole cast, we were able to perform our lines effectively and had the fewest amount of mistakes. The scenes were executed the smoothest this night I think as well.
