Collaborative -- stimulus and brainstorming due

My stimulus : dead trees. "Walk in the woods"
is a conversation I had repeatedly with someone. I had written in my daily log later on that day: [today i pondered the thought, “am i a nihilist?” after the most vexatious being known to earth decided to interject their assumptions on my character, going on to bash my schools of thought. i read from Nietzsche to Foucault. then realized i just might be an absurdist with perhaps nihilistic undertones of belief. i felt content (that is to emphasize that this was a mere satisfaction) when arriving at this new personal awareness, highlighting my nihilism even further. ]

Nonetheless, the person I was conversing with was blurting out some existentialist philosophies. Thus, I decided it right to explore the contrasting practices of life for both a Existentialist and a Nihilist.

Existentialism vs Nihilism
Existentialism is the belief that through a combination of awareness, free will, and personal responsibility, one can construct their own meaning within a world that intrinsically has none of its own.
Nihilism is the belief that not only is there no intrinsic meaning in the universe, but that it’s pointless to try to construct our own as a substitute.

Directing Notes for the Collaborative:
Small room within the black box
2 people sitting next to each other
Light on them (colors not explored yet will dive further in during later discussion of this project)
Process of emotion.
Start with emotion or expression with societally negative contagions,
Existentialist: One person jumps back and forth from these emotions to societally positive emotion or expression, or gradual to this “positive”
Nihilist: Other goes from societally negative to mere content.

Things to explore further:
- Type of Nihilism
- Lighting
- Colors
- Actions
- Beginning costuming and so on
- Etc.

Other Ideas:
Existentialist may get phone call, language not understandable maybe but the idea that they are being calmed down and reassured about meaning in life. Maybe put on a collared shirt and tie.
*Action vs Reaction
One puts on tie
One cuts up tie
      Phone call example as well.
